The bunny (spoilery for DWS3) is here - http://laurab1.livejournal.com/179586.html

Oxbridge women's colleges in existence in the 1910s:

Girton (Cambridge)
Newnham (Cambridge)
Somerville (Oxford)
Lady Margaret Hall (Oxford)
St Hilda's (Oxford)
St Hugh's (Oxford)
Society for Home Student/St Anne's (Oxford)

(Also, science area at Oxford, and biology at Cambridge)

Other institutions admitting women in the 1910s:

LSE
Women's Hostel/St Mary's College, Uni of Durham
Kings College London
Imperial College London

Campaigns/groups/movements of the time:

Votes for Women/suffragettes - http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/history/sites/women/pages/politics.shtml
Fabian Society
Bloomsbury Group (ruled out)

I should think Jack will get enough "unconventional" women from all that.

One of the official Oxford themed walking tours on Sat 6 April 2013 is Tolkien and CS Lewis - perfect opportunity for a LOTR fandom/HobbitLock mini meetup :) Plenty of free (as they're mostly all uni buildings) museums for after the tour, then we can get dinner :). If you'd like to come, go and buy yourself a ticket from the link below, then come back and tell me :)

It’s John, he knows it’s John, who means a great deal to him, but Sherlock doesn’t like any of it. Alone is what he has. Alone protects him. Caring is not an advantage.Collapse )

Alex Kingston is now not coming this weekend :( She's on the other side of the pond (ha!) and her filming schedule's changed. I was just framing "The only water in the forest is the river" for her last night! Oh, well, one less thing to try and fit in the case.

Further to this post, Accomplice: London is happening as a Sherlock Holmes meet-up on Saturday 23 June 2012 at 1.30pm.

Accomplice: London

It's £29.50, which is pretty much a rear stalls London theatre ticket. 10 is the standard maximum. To ensure that the group is just us, we need to buy all 10 tickets. Up to 15 can be accommodated, though, if more than 10 people want to come. (If more than 15 want to come, at least two slots will be need to be extended to 15 max. We would be staggered, and possibly have to make sure to avoid each other at the end!)

It's on the South Bank, so the NT lobby could be a place to go/reconvene afterwards...?

You will have to buy your ticket yourself, for the 1.30pm show, and then confirm in this post on sherlock_meetup that you have done so, so I can keep track of numbers, and call to extend the numbers, if necessary.
